Lottie Dress & Shirt Pattern --- Christine Haynes
The Lottie Dress and Shirt are loose fitting wardrobe staples with three sleeve and three length options for 18 mix and match combinations.
All three views pull over the head without the need for closures, making it a great project for a new sewer, or a fast sew for someone more experienced.
View A has short dolman sleeves, patch pockets, a split side seam vent, and hits just above the hip.
View B has short dolman sleeves with an add-on to lengthen the sleeves to 3/4-length, patch pockets, and lands just above the knee.
View C is sleeveless, cinches in at the waist with a skinny belt, ends at the ankle, and has side seam vents that open to the knee.
The best fabrics for the Lottie Dress and Shirt are lightweight wovens like cotton shirting, quilt weight cotton, lawn, voile, swiss dot, cotton gauze, double gauze, linen, chambray, seersucker, rayon, and silk.
Note: Yardage is measured for the views as pictured. To mix and match elements for alternate combinations, additional fabric may be required.
The Lottie pattern is sized from 0–18 and all sizes are included in one envelope with an instruction booklet and printed tissue paper pattern. Each length of each front and back piece is printed separately on the tissue pattern, making it easy to cut at any length, and to read all the markings for that specific view.
This pattern's difficulty is rated at "two spools" which is perfect for an beginner sewer!
