Embroidered Photo Class with Jen Hanna

In this class, Jen Hanna will teach you to learn how to turn photos into personalized works of art through embroidery. Basic knowledge of embroidery is required—we won’t be teaching you how to embroider, rather, how to embroider on photos! A simple backstitch is all that is needed, but if you know other stitches too, that's great!

What you'll need:

Supplies are available for purchase in the store, except for your photo. 

• One photo, color or black and white, no larger than 5x7. (Note: if you want to use a photo that is special to you, please have a copy made so you aren’t practicing on the original! Thrift stores and estate sales are great places to find old photos.)
• An embroidery hoop that is larger than your photo
• Cotton fabric (fat quarters are perfect for this)
• Embroidery needles (one with a big eye)
• Assorted colors of embroidery floss
