The Tropical Camp Shirt -- Advanced Beginner/Intermediate Class

This class is for adult students with some sewing experience that want to learn to sew using a men’s pattern. The Tropical Camp Shirt is a great project for summer wear and is fairly simple to master. You’ll be churning out these shirts once you practice with one or two! Students will have two opportunities to engage before class via a special Q&A Zoom session with the instructor, Derek Reynolds for planning and sizing and if you need space to cut and prepare your fabric, we will gather on April 16th at 6:30pm at the shop the week before the class! (Also, there will be an opportunity to try on a few sizes of the shirt as this pattern tends to run smaller).
To ensure you'll be able to finish in class, students should arrive to the first class with their fabric already cut.
What you’ll need:
- Wardrobe by Me Tropical Shirt Men’s pattern
- 2 1/2 yards fabric of your choice (cotton preferred)
- Coordinating thread of your choice
- 1/2 yard fusible interfacing
- 5 button
Details:
- Sewing machines will be provided, if needed. Let us know if you plan on brining your own machine. Please bring your own tools including, pins, marking pen or chalk & scissors.
- Class meets April 19th + 26th. There will be a Zoom session(April 14th) a week prior to class plus an optional meetup for cutting + additional help on April 16th. Details will be emailed to students by April 12th.
