Sewing with Sequins

If you've met our instructor Naomi before, you know her love of sewing with sequins! In the class, she'll share all her tips & tricks for working with sequined fabrics. Students can choose to make whatever they want, whether it be a simple t-shirt, a pillow cover or a pair of joggers. 

Class meets November 2nd + 16th: 3-6pm

Students may need to sew outside of class in order to stay on schedule. 

What you'll need:

Some supplies are available for purchase in our online shop and our retail store. Students receive 10% off supplies for class with code VIRTUALCLASS, if ordering online.

• Your desired pattern*
  
• 2 1/4 - 3 yards of sequined fabric
• One pack of sewing machine needles (80/12 or 90/14)
• Coordinating thread
• Safety goggles
• Swedish Tracing Paper (optional)
• Sharp scissors or rotary cutter you don't mind dedicated to sequin cutting
• Pins, marking tools, and any other sewing notion you prefer to use.

*The more simple the better. Think about how many seams your garment might have and how many sequins you'll have to seam rip out of your seam allowance. If you have questions about choosing an appropriate pattern or need some more guidance, email Naomi at naomipjohnson@gmail.com
